Fay, of this village,died at his residence on Elm street, onTuesday morning last, of heart disease.He was sick but a short time, and his demise was wholly unexpected. He wassomewhat prominently before the peopleof this villa## for several years precedinghis death, in his connection with the M.1. Church, and has always commandedthe respect of his neighbors. Mr, GeorgeFay, his son, returned from G-ermany buttwo or three weeks ago, after an absenceof five years; and only three or four daysbefore the death of his father he had gone to Rome on business. He is' stillabsent, not having heard of his loss, which will be doubly severe, he having been solong: absent from his home* It is saidtLafc Mr. Pay wag quit* well off in this]world’s goods, and that he made Msmoney by his own exertions. Four sonsand, a widow will long mourn their loss,and a respected citizen will be missed bythe inhabitants of this village. The funeral services were held at the house inwhich he dwelt while living, and theattendance was so large that many were obliged to go away for want of room.
