Airport Record Strai^hte ned OutCity Manager William Pitstick, nettled over remarks at a political rally over the location of a runway at the yet-to-be-built Arlington municipal airport, set the record straight at City Council Tuesday night.Pitstick, noting the airport matter had come up in a political way,*' said that any misunderstanding about cross-winds had long been straightened out.There are nc? cross winds of more than 15 miles an hour present 94.5 per cent of die time/' Pitstick said.The city manager said the misunderstanding about cross winds came about when Federal Aviation Agency officials misread die wind rows onthe plans.Actually, our airport willbe better oriented than any odier in the Fort Worth-Dallas area/* Pitstick said.
