Car, Pedestrian Accidents Take Lives Monday (Special to The Lima News) LEIPSIC, Mar, 21—Last rites’ will be held at 2 p. m. Wednes day in the Leipsic Methodist church for Lewis Arthur Leather man, 66, of Leipsic. He was killed instantly at 1:40 p. m. Monday when he stopped in front of a northbound Baltimore and Ohio railroad passenger train here. Burial will be made in Sugar Ridge cemetery. Mr. Leatherman was en route to his home after buying gro ceries when the accident oc cured at the Liberty-st crossing about 200 feet from his home. [aus body was hurled 120 feet north of the crossing, according to Putnam-co Coroner J. R. Echelbarger. He returned a ver dict of accidental death. This was the first violent death [in Putnam-co during 1950. Mr. Leatherman was born in [Van Buren-to, Putnam-co, Feb. 2, 1884, and married Mary Wine epop Dee, 21, 1905. She survives. Also surviving are three sons, Floyd and Rollie Leatherman of Findlay and Ralph of Leipsic, four daughters, Mrs. Thelma Provant of Dupont, Mrs. Alice Bryant of Defiance, Mrs. Maude Zachrich and Mrs. Catherine Finfrock of Leipsie; two broth ers, William Leatherman of Ot tawa and Henry of Tiffin; three sisters, Mrs. Elmer Combs of Leipsie, Mrs. John Lochabaugh and Mrs. William Depue of Find lay; 78 grandchildren and one great grandchild. DESHLER, Mar. 21—Mrs. El dora Rosebrook of Deshler was ‘injured fatally Monday when the car in which she was riding was struck here by a southbound Bal timore and Ohio railroad train. Mrs. Rosebrook died in Find lay hospital Monday afternoon. The accident occurred at the Elmst_ crossing in Deshler as Mrs. Rosebrook was returning home from taking two of her children to school. A third, Del bert, was thrown from the car and is in Findlay hospital.
