E Howell s | city court in Durant after Marshal a Clarence Robertson and other Durant officers spent a busy weekend picking up people for drunkenness, drunken and reckless driving and disorderly conduct.Eleven persons charged with being drunk pled guilty and were fined SI0.00 and costs by Mayor*W. E. Howell. They were:J. C. Hughes, Kosciusko.Kelly Thorp, Kosciusko.Edgar and Ruth Hutchinson, of V Carthage. I tiDorothy Lee and Pete Peeler, Kosciusko. Peeler was fined $15.00.James Bell, Durant.Nathaniel Burrell, Goodman.Earl McLean, Lexington.John Wells and Willie Foster, Durant.Accident SundayCharles Carl Ainsworth. Jackson, pled guilty Monday morning to a charge of drunken driving and was fined $105.00. Ainsworth was driver of a car which early Sunday afternoon hit a motorcycle driven by Rufus Sweat on Highway 51 south, j within the city limits. Earl McLean, who accompanied him, was charged y j | with being drunk. Sweat was con- e, _! siderably bruised but not seriously ^• injured. £O. D.
