These obstacles, however, did not bother Marble City. The school house was well filled and practically every business institution in the town was represented. Special attention was shown the visitors by Messrs- Shepard, Kimbrough, Ken-netner and Mayes, and the farming community was well in evidence- Thedelegation from Sallisaw at this meet-*ing consisted of Horace M. Wolverton, the county demonstrator, D. P. De. laney. of the Merchants National Bank, Judge E. N. Ellis, County Supt- Dodson and the editor of the Star-Garzette. All of them made short talks and werewell received. Before the meeting*closed Mr. Shepard, speaking on be-*half of the people of Marble City, ex pressed appreciation of the work being done and assured us of hearty co-operation. *lver*was isure him. 1 sin-hear at hets ofMarble City will be well represented at the meeting when the county organization is completed and at.least two demonstration farms will be conduct ed in that vicinity-AT MULDROWirt of I the* re by goodwereiuuldwhen* .as ofis arminglt;.V innadeThe meeting at Mtildrow Wednesday afternoon called out the largest delegation from Sallisaw that attended any of the gatherings of the week. A. Watts was selected as chairman, and after inter*..esfcing*talks from a number ofthe visiting delegation the local.people took a hand that was enough to convince anyone that something was%oing to.be done. Dr. J. F. Fox, an extensive land owner of that section of the county, gave his experiences with cotton and seed selection, and inthe course of his remarks as*.sured us of bis hearty support to the movement. Drs. T. W. Collins and H. H. Turnham also took an active interest in the meeting and left no doubts as to what may be expected of them. Before the meeting closed a committee of five was appointed to look after the matter of funds and to perfect the local organization in time to have a good delegation present, when the big meeting is called for the purpose of perfecting the county organization. Dr. Turnham ex pressed an earnest desire to have a meeting held at Paw Paw and it is very probable that the local organization at Muldrow will soon call upon Mr. Wolverton to attend a meeting with them at Paw Paw.AT AKINSThe Star-Gazette man was un able to attend the Akins meeting Wednesday afternoon, butMessrs. Wolverton, Delaney, Dodson and McNabb were on the job and notwithstanding the fact that Akins had been omitted from the first date list arranged the meeting is reported to us asa success in every respect- It would please us to b.e present at every one of these meetings and to make a detailed report on.them but this iss„ impossible, with»the limited amount of help we now have in the office. Thursday afternoon Messrs. Wolverton, Delaney, Dodson, R E ‘Jackson, W. D- Mayo, W. C. Wood, J. E. McDonald and H. C. • Winter left to till the appointments at Hanson and Gans at night. As we go to press we have no reportfrom either of these meetings.and as it is raining hard we**gravely fear that the boys will have a rather unpleasant trip, feufc'they are real boosters andare out in a good cause and are►liable to rush on to success even in the rain. We will report fur ther on the work next week. In the meantime let everyone keep busy with the movement to help the farming interests of Sequoyah county.3.GOOsV-.cdLLlt;d3C/3C/3COCcd£cS*GOCOooGCDcdCLG£OHCD05cdCLCOcdcdr •Gcdo3OC/D3OCDtoCDCDCDlt;Dco3O(J£CDGcdOh3O3coOoLegST AT ConIITheTaylorThereaidei Louis, March comnu on a pi three I intere.-annum note hi by saic of atta levied ated h homa, The sv of nlt;taims set aci of tw coi Said anawe: May. !for sai no 100 the rat 10, 191' attachAttestIS*Fifree/greaFiStyoutswei No s a pu a ca' all b freeJiedit*areyouit iifSiperAimEa ed a chur withby tlof t even over Choielab(firstgranothelie isandEastsigniof tii
