James B. Drake of Hagerstown, Md., son of Mr. and Mrs. Frederick E. Drake, left Tuesday for a month's business trip to Texas. Auxiliary to Admiral Hughes ship, Navy club, was entertained Monday evening by Miss Doris Kingsbury at the home of her niece, Mrs. Robert A. Gallagher. Mr. and Mrs. Edward Sewall of High street left Wednesday for Boston where he will attend the an nual meeting and banquet of the Texas Oil dealers of New England. Mr. and Mrs. Robert C. Pletts, Jr. of this city, Mrs. Robert C. Pletts and son, Gilbert, of Bruns wick, were among those in Portland Tuesday evening to hear Tommy Dorsey at Ricker Gardens. Mr. and Mrs. Charles J. Donnell and Miss Jane S. Donnell of Kala mazoo, Mich., formerly of Bath, will leave Friday for Victoria, Brit ish Columbia. The marriage of Miss Donnell and Lieut. Lloyd V. Jer main of the Royal Canadian Navy will take place next week. There was an attendance of 12 at the regular meeting of the Junior Hospital league Tuesday evening, when Miss Marcia Moulton enter tained at her home, 1019 Middle street.
