WEI LEJIDER IS DROWNEDFormer West Virginia Solon Loses Life When Motor Boat Capsizes In Ohio RiverPoint Pleasant. \V. Va., March 20.— Mayor Walter H. Cossin, former state senator and a leader of the liquor fones in this state, was drowned in the Ohio river. Cossin was riding about the river in his motor boat, ac-CMnpaniel by J. C. Fowler and Clinton Pivener. Near Gallipolis the engine became disabled and Fowler v.ent ashore to obtain needed tools. When he returned Cossin and Pivener were missing. It was believed both bad drowned till it was ascertained Pivener had been seen leaving the boat. Cossin is supposed to have slipped from the icy deck of the boat.CARDINAL GOTTI PASSES AWAYRomo. March 20.—Cardfnal Jerome Mary Gotti, prefect of the propaganda, is dead. Cardinal Gotti was born in 1824 at Genoa and was made a cardinal in 1895. He had been ill for some time. The ofhee of prefect of the propaganda is one of the most influential in the Catholic church.
