Weatherford,a minister »f the gospel, who lives at Salem,' Livingston comity, a as arrested at the Buckingham theater, Paducah, Ky., hridsy night last, charged with drunkenness and disorderly conduct, and with carrying a pistol. The said minister is already under indictment before the ( ireult t’ourt oI Livingtmi countv , i for stealing about *GUO in money and many valuable notes from a Mr. Tyner; lint the eireumstances ot this lyner robbery was involved u* aomneh doubt, together with the fact of Weatherford’* previouscharacter as a minister, that many of the best people believed him wrongly licensed. The indictment is yet pending against him. !h- is a man of family, is extensively known iu Ballard, Grave* and the tipper counties of the. Purchase. IIis conduct at the theater in Paducah will cause many who have been heretofore defending hint,; to believe him capable of the robbery charge. Such a case is pitiable, and while if guilty he should be punished as any other thief,good people will commiserate the wretell who could prostitute such a calling. '
