Blanche Washington Missionary society of the Mt. Zion Baptist Church celebrated its thirtieth an niversary on Thursday, March 16, at the church. After a brief business session, a program was presented. The min utes and the roll of thirty years ago were read and called, Mrs. E. C. Berry and Mrs. Mollie Camp bell being the only charter mem bers living at this time. Remarks by Mrs. Campbell and other mem bers of the society were given. “Beyond the Garden Gate,” a reading in memory of the de ceased, was given by Mrs. Nellie Pettiford, after which a hymn, “That Will Be Glory For Me,” was sung. Remarks were given by Rev. Brown and a reading was given by Mrs. Laura Lynch, the president. A reading, “Building Bridges” was given by Miss Rebecca Cooley. The meeting was closed with prayer and the singing of a hymn, after which light refreshments were served.
