CELEBRATE THEIR FIFTIETH WEDDING ANNIVERSARYOn Monday afternoon, March 16, Mr. and Mrs. Albert Lind were most pleasantly surprised when about 60 persons gathered at their home to commemorate their 50th milestone of wedded bliss. The guests included the brother and sisters of the couple and the members of the Ladies Aid of Swede Plain church and their husbands. The newlyweds of 50 years were presented with a gold colored bedspread by the group. They also brought a sumptuous repast which included a large* wedding cake baked by Mrs. Emma Anderson. Out-of-town guests who called were Mrs. Nettie Carlson of Grand Island, Mr. and Mrs. Wm. Norton of Osceola, and Mr. and Mrs. Carl Lind of Siromsburg.On Sunday the children of Mr. and Mrs. Lind had gathered at the home of a daughter, Mrs. Philip Johnson for a family dinner. The table cover used at the Sunday dinner was the same as that used when the couple were married a half century ago at the home of the bride's parents, Mr. and Mrs. Norton. A very interesting thing to note is that this estimable couple now reside in the same house in which j they were married and have most of the intervening years—the house being moved from the parental j homestead to the farm of Mr. and Mrs. Lind half mile south.Tho Lind’s have five children, namely, Mrs. Merle Lavello, Clarks; Mrs. Philip Johnson, Mrs, Arthur Anderson, and Harvey and Lonnis Lind of Polk.
