WAITER DIES ALONE IN HOTEL ROOME. Mayer, GO years, of age,.a .waiter belonging to the cooks and waiters' union, was found dead yesterday In his room In the Worth hotel, 158 East Second South street. Consumption was the cause of death. The body was found by Mrs. Sophia Christensen, who entered the room occupied by Mayer after no answer had been made to her knock. He was found lying across the bed.Mayer had been staying at the Worth hotel since coming to this city from Stockton, Cal., last • fall.
