MRS. LYDIA M. LEE.Death of an Aged and Respected Residentof Niantic.Mrs* Lydia M. Lee, aged 87 years, three months and twenty-two days, died at her residence in Niantic, Thursday, March 14. She had been in feeble health for a long time and her death was not wholly unexpected. The funeral was held from her late residence Saturday afternoon at 2 o’clock, Rev. E. G. Stone officiating. Interment in the old Congregational cemetery.Mrs. Lee was born in East Lyme on what is known as the Turner place. Her father's name was Anson Miller and she was one of four children, the others being Eliza, Julia and Ursula, all of whom are now dead. About 183G she marr ed Orlando E. Lee of this town, aud a shoit time after marriage they removed to Staten Island where Mr. Lee was engaged in business. He was a very prosperous man and about 35 years ago they removed to a farm near Poughkeepsie, N. Y., where he died. Mrs. Lee lias resided in Niantic about 25 years, living most of the time in the home in wh:ch she died, corner of Main street aud Pennsylvania avenue.She has been a faithful and consist ant member of the Congregational church from early life aud was one of its best friends. Mr. Lee was married a second time but separated from her husband after a few years. Her nearest relative is a grandson, Herman Lee, of Staten Island.
