G.W. Davis is down with grippe. The dirt roads are very near impassa ble. Born to the wife of Mitchel Collins—a son, Squire W. A. Chandler is recovering from a severe spell of grippe. Charles Masters and Beck Vinson, daughter of Ceperton Vinson, married. Samuel Carpenter and John A. Ham were nominated for magistrate, and John W. Teater for Constable, in the Poosey district. The loss is very great on Jiles Saunders by the late flood in the river, it swept off his warehouse and store-house, and one tenant house, occupied by Dave Hunter. Just across the river in Jessamine, it car ried off Arch Stotts barn and was to the eaves of his store-house.
