JIMMY SEARSGraveside, services for Jimmy Douglas Sears, 73, of Somerville, were held at 11 a.m. Monday,March 8, 2004, in Oaklawn Cemetery, Section C-2 in Somerville.Mr. Sears died Saturday, March 6, 2004, in Trinity Medical Center in Brenham.He was born Dec, 4, 1930, in Woodland, Ala. He served in the United States Air Force and worked as a welder and fabricator in the pipeline industry. Family members described him as someone who was very indepen- ■dent and was a loner who loved I i!the South. They also said he enjoyed fishing and loved his parents.He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, Loretta Mae Smith Sears; one brother and two sisters.Survivors include one son and daughter-in-law, Guy and Connie Sears of Somerville; one brother,Melvin C.
