Peter StankavichLaJOLLA, Calif. — Peter P.Stankavich, 74, of Barstow, Calif, originally of DuBois, died April 7.He was born Oct. 20, 1918, in DuBois, a son of Dominic and Frances Babarski Stankavich. He was married to Anne Pole-honki Stankavich. She preceded him in death.He served in World War II and was a disabled veteran.Survivors include two sons, Paul E. Stankavich of Erie, and Thomas M. Stankavich of Oceanside, Calif.; two daughters, Teresa M. Duke of Clifton, Va., and Elizabeth A. Gliha of Painsville, Ohio; a sister, Veronica Butkavich of Calif.; and 13grandchildren.He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife; three brothers: Dominic, John and Joseph Stankavich; and a sister, Frances Abromovich.A Mass of Christian Burial was conducted April 13 at the St. Paul’s Church in Euclid, Ohio. Burial was in the All Souls Cemetery in Chardon, Ohio.
