Fifty-five’ years ago today John Hisey and Miss Nancy Jane Shirk were united in marriage at Marys ville, Ohio. Soon after they came to Fulton county and have resided here continuously ever since. In honor of the event, their near relatives and a few friends will give them a “shower” at their home tonight. Both are hale and hearty and thoroughly enjoy life. The death of James Fites, 80 years of age, is reported by Dr. Gee, FE. Hoff man. The old gentleman was a pio neer of Deedsville. Death was caused by a stroke of paralysis. —Mr. and Mrs. Arthur Wise will re turn this week, from San Antonio, Texas, where they have spent part of their honeymoon.They also visited California and other western points. Bill Boggess says the high wind and rain pretty well cleared the lake of ice, Monday night; also that he found some pussy willows in bloom when he came to town this morning. —Jack Chamberlain has resigned his position with the Turner hardware store and will take up other lines of work in the future. He has been in the hardware business for several years. “Misses Pearl Barrett and Alice Lowery are expected to arrive in this city, Saturday, from a five weeks’ vis it at Biloxi, Mississippi.
