Entertained at Dinner, Mr. and Mrs. Salem. Bussett enter tained at Sunday: dinner, Mr. and Mrs’ Frank Myers, of ‘Peru. Married Fifty-five Years. Fifty-five’ years ago today John Hisey and Miss Nancy Jane Shirk were united in marriage at Marys ville, Ohio. Soon after they came to Fulton county and have resided here continuously ever since. In honor of the event, their near relatives and a few friends will give them a “shower” at their home tonight. Both are hale and hearty and thoroughly enjoy life. Congratulations are extended for con tinued good health and happiness. -Joe Ewing is transacting business in [Chicago today. -Dr. E. H. Sutherland and Ralph J. Mr. and Mrs. John Myers spent Sun day with Mr. and Mrs. Isaac Shelton. Pete Sans has returned to his work at South Bend, after spending Sun day with his family. Mr. and Mrs. George Mikesell spent Sunday with their daughter,Mrs. Lee Holloway. William Hudkins and family, of Loyal, spent Sunday with his parents, Doc Hudkins— and a wife, Mr. and Mrs. William Baker, of Leiters, spent Sunday with Mrs. Geo. Moon, , Miss Mary Myers spent Sunday with Mrs. Lee Holloway and family. Tona Miller and family, of Loyal, spent Sunday with her parents, Doc Hudkins and wife. Little Deveral Holloway, of Leiters, is spending a few days with his grand parents, Mr. and Mrs. George Mikesell. Doc Hudkins spent Saturday at Ke wanna. . Mr. and Mrs. James Burns spent the week-end at Fort Wayne. Conrad Mikesell spent Sunday with Oral Burns. Brackett, of Chi cago, arrived, Tuesday, for a short visit with relatives and friends here. —4Mr. and Mrs. George Black are preparing to move from their present location into their own home on Mad ison street. —Mr. and Mrs. Lovell Miller are moving from the John Miller farm, near Green Oak, to South Bend, where Mr. Miller has employment. —Will Gordon and family have moved from the Clarissa Reed resi dence to the Minnie- Jenkins resi dence on West Eighth street. —Mrs. E. von Horenstein has re turned from Peru, after a stay of several weeks, at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Grover Tillett. The Baptist ladies are planning to hold their annual Easter supply, which is one of Rochester’s require ments to start spring off properly —Mrs. Emma Wilson has purchased the Lavina VanTrump property,on Franklin avenue, and will occupy the same as soon as Mr. and Mrs. Tony VanTrump vacates. The death of James Fites, 80 years of age, is reported by Dr. Gee, FE. Hoff man. The old gentleman was a pio neer of Deedsville. Death was caused by a stroke of paralysis. —Mr. and Mrs. Arthur Wise will re turn this week, from San Antonio, Texas, where they have spent part of their honeymoon.They also visited California and other western points. Bill Boggess says the high wind and rain pretty well cleared the lake of ice, Monday night; also that he found some pussy willows in bloom when he came to town this morning. —Jack Chamberlain has resigned his position with the Turner hardware store and will take up other lines of work in the future. He has been in the hardware business for several years. “Misses Pearl Barrett and Alice Lowery are expected to arrive in this city, Saturday, from a five weeks’ vis it at Biloxi, Mississippi. They report that they are having a fine time and feeling exceltently. —Orer Miller is building a fine bun galo on his farm east of Rochester, to take the place of the residence de stroyed by fire last fall.
