Putnam Volunteers.The Putnam Volunteers, Capt. Hitchcock, were drawn up in the grove in front of the female Academy in Eatonton, on Wednesday evening last, and received from the Eev. Mr. Wynne a beautiful flag pre* pared for them by the ladies of the village.Mr. Wynne accompanied the presentation with appiopriate and impressive remarks. Zacli Edmondson, a member of the corps, received the banner with a like appropriate and impicsMve response The colors were committed to the keeping of our young friend and neighbor Green J. Spivey. We , led satisfied that m his hands the colors | a!d safe, so long as he* lives. Green will bear the banner like a man.About 1 o’clock, Thursday morning, the Putnam Volunteers left by special train for | the camp of instruction near Griffin.
