There are a lot of elements,in the situation that are bothering the men who are shaping, or think they are shaping, the destinies of their organizations.Chief among the factors causing uneasiness are the woman vote, the liquor question, the peace treatv and to the very annoying question, “Will president Wilson run again?There now seems every probability that the suffrage amendment will soon be ratified and women will vote next November. How will they vote?! That is the thing that is worrying more than one would be statesman. The best guess is that they will divide among both parties about equally, just as their fathers, husbands, and brothers do. Some believe, however that if the Democrats put a plank for light wines and beers in i their party platform, a vast majority ! th of the women will vote the Republi-;bfasmNcan ticket, provided the Republicans: ofdodge the alcohol question in their re platform. | g-i
