POLICE SAY THAT A WOMAN WASTHE THIEF.WILL NOT DIVULGE NAMERings Were Mysteriously Returned Today—If Money is Not Returned Police Will Arrest Certain Woman.Mrs. David Hallam is again proudlydisplaying a $G0 diamond ring whichshe mysteriously lost last Wednesday. She is happy having it in her possession once more; so happy that she will not prosecute the woman who took it. Last Wednesday this ring, another less valuable, and a sum ofmoney disappeared from the Hallam* '.home. For three days Mrs. Hallam♦played detective and tried to track the thief and get back her money and jewelry. Unsuccessful, Saturday night she sought assistance from the police department. The paid sleuths got busy, and this morning the missing rings were mysteriously returned to Mrs. Hallam. The inoney has not yet been returned, but the police have served notice on a certain woman to send back the money or she will bearrested. They claim that a woman thief took Mrs. Hallam’s jewelry, but4they .refuse to divulge her name. However, unless Mrs. Hallam receives the 'missing money by tonight, they will not only give the woman’s name, but will cause her arrest.tille:
