Mrs. Alice Rollins Crane, Well Known in Philadelphia, Bal timore and Washington, Has Gained Wide Reputation in Klondike. DAWSON CITY, March 6.—Dawson City lays claim to the only woman who is the general manager of a mining com pany. She is Mrs. Alice Rollins Crane, and is well known in the East in Balti more, Washington and Philadelphia so ciety, where she has recently been visit ing. Mrs. Crane has gained distinction as a journalist, novelist, Alaskan explorer, and, last of all, as a miner. Her trip to the capital recently was made with the idea of promoting the interests of agri culture in Alaska and to aid in the colonization of that region.
