He went to Europe and put in three years visiting the various countries of the eastern continent. He returned to his native land and resumed his business, and for a time was successful. But, a Tew years ago. business reverses dissipated his fortune and he wasreduced to the necessity of earning his living as a laborer. He had a considerable amount of mechajiical skill, and was employed as an engineer.
