Obituary.ROBBIE FOSTER.Robbie Foster, son of J. A, and JessieFoster, was born in Putman, Fayett county,Iowa, November 8, 1S79, He died in Put.man February 24, 1892 aged twelve yearsthree months, and sixteen days. A father,mother, six brothers and two sisters mournhis loss, Last Sunday morning at the M.E. church at 11 o’clock the funeral serviceswere held, Rev. \V, W. Carlton preachingthe sermon. Robbie was laid awav in the*Taylorville cemetery over two weeks ago without any funeral service on account ofthe treacherousness of the disease that took him oft.The following statement of his li/e and memorial was written and read by his Sunday school teacher Miss May Starr.The death angel has again entered our Sabbath school and we are called to mourn the loss ol one of our number. God in his own way and time sent the summons to Robbie. ‘-The Master is come and calleth for thee,” It was impossible /or Robbie to be with us, but one Sunday since I have been teacher of his class. But the short time he spent with us was an example that some of the class might well follow, He was attentive, doing his shnre in trying to make the lesson interesting as well as profit able.. Our lossjis his gain. We as a class-and S. S. deeply sympathize with the her reaved family. In my first term of school he was one of my scholars, I lound him to bo a bright, happy thought/ul boy; always ready for play, but when the bell png, was found at his desk, ready for study. He was kind to alii; a favorite among his playmates, very seldom made to quanct and one of the first to forgive and forget, We al'j loved him, In his sickness we can not tell How much he suffered, but he Is where no sickness or pain ever enters; where all is peace, joy and happiness,A beautious flower to us was given,Our hearts to gladden, It seemed a brief hour Then it was taken to bloom in heaven, Forever evermore.We would not call him back again To this world of grief and pain,For He who took him, best could tell For He doeth all teings well.“The Lord gave, and the Lord hath taken awav.
