To the Editor,Last week a good number of posters were piaced around campus advertising for the Clarkson sponsored bus trip to Canton on Monday 3/1/76, to hear the Syracuse Symphony Rock Ensemble play at SLU. When we reached the gym in which the concert was to be held, we learned that we would not hear the group advertised, but instead the Syracuse Symphony Orchestra, As I, along with most of the other* people on the bus could listen to and enjoy classical music just as much as hard rock, we did not find the evening unpleasent. In fact the pieces by Wagner, Stravinsky and Brahms made rather enjoyable listening and, for the most part, were played quite well indeed. But just the same, this should not detract from the fact that what we heard was not what the Clarkson printed posters advertised. Who deserves the booby prize for the screw up this time?So in the future beware, techers! It might just happen that those tickets you bought for the Cat Stevens concert in Montreal may really be for a concert by the Philadelphia Orchestra!Sincerely, Steve Herschbein
