The Croydon Community Church Choir made its a debut last Sunday night and was excerved with expres sions of approval from both the pas tor and congregation. The leader ship of this newly formed organiza tion is ably filled by Mrs. M. J. Gal braith and a new note of interest will be added to the services with the rendering of special music every Sunday evening. The Choir will also prepare sever al special numbers to fill the Hasier program. The Girl Scouts formally organiz ed last Saturday afternoon when nine active young ladies under the direction of Mrs. Russel Vandeerrff gathered at the home of Miss Laura Surrick, one of their number and solemnly took the oath to do their duty to God, country, home and par ents and to obey the laws of the or ganization. The young ladies were instructed in the work of the orga nization by Mrs. Vandegrift and election of officers was held. Miss Tillie Cook is Second Lieutenant and Alice Nutter is Patrol Leader. The post of First Lieutenant will be held open until someone can be secured for the position. The Fire Company will hold a meeting in the Fire House at 2:00 P. M. Sunday afternoon and all mem bers are urged to be present. To the announcement of officers elected, an error was made in stating that Thomas Roberts had been elected as Vice President.
