Alas! The silver cord is loosened and the hand upon the dial of life stands still. On the morning of February 19, 1916, the soul of Mrs. Letha Lewis winged its eternal flight from the frail tenement of clay to the realms of end less bliss. For years she has been a sufferer, but true to her nobleness of character he bore it silently, patiently and prayerfully. She was always cheer ful and found her chief joy in the ser vice of others. —Resolutions— Whereas, it has pleased our Heav enly Father in His infinite goodness and mercy to call from our midst our beloved sister, Letha Lewis, wife of Dr. G. F. Lewis, be it therefore Resolved, That Poland Temple,so. 319, Pythian Sisters, extend our heart felt sympathy to her husband and children in their hour of sorrow and bereavement, and be it further Resolved, That a copy of these res olutions be sent to her family, and duly spread upon our records, and also that a copy be sent to the legal papers for publication and that our Charter be draped for 30 days. “She has passed away, but her sweet good will like a fragrant odor, lingers still. The tender lesson that memory will bring. The mantle, Patience, o’er us flings. We learn to follow the path she trod, To be more like her who has gone to God.” EMMA KATTAMAN, ROSE STRAUCH, CARRIE CAGLE.
