I ’ therefore sentence you to be hanged I by the neck until you be dead, in I Baton Rouge, upon a day to be fixed by the governor of the state, and may God have mercy on your soul.” Thus spoke Judge Chretien, criminal district court, Thursday morning in passing the death sentence upon Herman D. Pailet, 23. recently condemned to death for the murder of his father, Nathan S. Pailet, on June 29. last, in the stable of the Pailet Dairy at Ulloa and Hennessv streets.—Daily States.
