A* eleven o’clock they had arrived at » decision, made a sealed verdict had left it over until Tuesday morning when at nine o’clock it was given to the judge.All the evidence in this case was completed Saturday. There were 22 witnesses examined ,and the trial wa very interesting one. Many spectators were in court each day. This was the first automobile damage ease which has been tried in this court. Attorneys Logan and Martin-dale appeared for Barcus and Kellison and Stevens for Weissert.The State has continued until next term Jhe ease of grand larpeny against Sidney S. Hardy.The oases against Grant Hanes andHarvey Miller and Ed. Shipley forviolation of the liquor laws wereset for trial todav and Hanes is on* vtrial. The cases against Cbas. F. Shadel are set for trial Wednesday and Thursday.Theprosmitor has very unexpectedly dismissed the eases against Jacob Kephart f«»r cruelty to animals.on th-‘ ground that be did not have evidence enough to convict. A. Yockey and family. Earl is bookkeeper for the California Fruit Growers E\ehange. and tells of the extensive combinations of fruit growers and dealers to dispose of their product. All the growers of each section are in an association. Then these small asociations combine into larger associations and these bigger ones into a still bigger one called the California Fruit Growers Exchange.He says Mr. and Mrs. B. W. Rosa were there to see them. They had been in Washington, but he got sick and came b#ck to California. He will go again to Washington, where he is to meet Albert Snyder and they are going up into Canada . Mr. Rosa wants a big ranch. Mr. B. C.
