Backset to Edisto County.Columbia, March 13 —Special to the News and Courier: The k proposed new county of E lislo, I to be formed from parte of Aiken, i; Orangeburg and Lexington conn i ties, received a serious backset li at the bands of Attorney General ’ n Lyon today, when lie rendered ti an opinion tliat the petition for c an election was lt;Iefoctive in that n it failed to state the distances ot the new county lines from the Court houses and because it failed to give the required facts as to population.
