rDEATHS.Richard Pollock at the home of liis son-in-law Aaron Kester in Mt. PJeasant township March 13th, 1881, aged 89 years, 7 months and 26 days. •The deceased's father moved fronj the southern part of Pennsylvania to Montour Co. about the year 1790. Richard being the youngest of ten children he remained at home with his parents until married. He was married t o Esther Caldwell in 1816. In 1834 lie and his family moved to the north mountain, Lycoming Co., and lived there four years, when lie moved to Greenwood township, this county, on the farm now owned by John R. Eves. There he remained until the death of his wife, in 1856, being in the 56th year of her age,they having lived together 40 years and raised a family of nine children, (seven living to have homes of their own) four of whom still live. In the same year of his wife's death he moved to Illinois, Ogle Co. There he continued to farm until 1860 when he sold his farm and moved to Lee Co., living with his daughter Margret and «on Thomas, until nearly three years ago when lie came to Pennsylvania to live with his daughter Esther Rest or—she being the only clfihl living in Pennsylvania. There he remained until his death. Mr. Pollock made four trips from Illinois to Penna. to visit his daughter and one trip to Kansas to visit his youngest son Samuel. He has always been a very pious rnun-i--an early member of the Presbyterian church. Tic has passed to that bourne from where no traveller returns and troubles are no more, leaving many friends 'who will deeply mourn his loss.
