NOTICE.AN election will bo held on the first Monday in April, A D. 1348, at the u.mal places of holding elections in the county of Floyd nod state of Indiana, for the purpose of electing the following officers, to wit: an inspector of elections for each pl .ee of holding elections in said county ; as many constables as there are I justices of the pe«ce in cnch township; two fenccview* ers in each township in said county ; us many swperv -sore of highways in each township as there arc road districts in the auuie ; two overseers of the poor in each township; also one justice of the peace in Lafayette township, to fill the vacancy of Frederick Shannon, whose term will expire on the 5th day of January, 1549 ; alsof one justice of the peace in Franklin township, lo fill the vacancy to occur on the 4th day of Djcembcr, 1848, of Ira \V.
