Shroder is the site of the Alternative College Readiness Program.Reece CommitteeRevisitedThrough this course, students are taught how to use different levels of reading, such as light skimming, careful reading, and in-depth study. They learn how to take notes from a lecture as well as a book, and study the outlining and preparation of oral and written reports. The course also covers library and general inquiry skills.The Alternative College Readiness Program stressescollege preparatory skills, while offering career orientation anddevelopment.
