Charles Fenimore Hudson, 76, who formerly served Pascagou la as police chief for eight years, died Tuesday afternoon in the Singing River Hospital at Pascagoula where he had been a patient two days. ‘he re sided at 722 N. Roosevelt St., Pascagoula. ‘A native and lifelong resident of Pascagoula, born Nov. 20, 1890, Mr. udson Was active in Jackson County ‘law enforce ment for 28 years. His most recent employment was as a dispatcher for F. B. Walker and Son in Pascagoula. Friends may call after 3 p.m. today at Fails Funeral Service in Pascagoula, where Rosary will be recited at 8 o’clock to night. The funeral will be conducted at 9.45 a.m. Thursday from the funeral home chapel, follow ed at 10 a.m. with a Mass in Our Lady of Victories Catholic Church of Pascagoula. The Rt. Rev. Msgr. P. J. Carey, pastor emeritus, will be celebrant. In terment will be in Jackson County Memorial Park. Mr. Hudson’s survivors in clude his wife, Mrs. Irma Ethel Clark Hudson, Pascagoula; two daughters, Mrs. J. J. Gaffney and Mrs. L. C. Rouse, both of Pascagoula; four sons, Alvin M. Hudson, Sherrie N. Hudson, both of Pascagoula; Charles Fenimore Hudson Jr., Grand Bay, Ala., and Robert E. Hud son, Pleasanton, Calif; two brothers, J. W. Hudson and H. W. Hudson, both of Pasca goula; four sisters, Miss Ruth Hudson, Mrs. L. J. Clark, both of Pascagoula; Mrs. Jack Averia, Gulfport; Mrs. W. H. Chastant, Bogalusa, La.; 20 grandchildren and eight great grandchildren.
