Dr. M. J. Chakeres, Commander of Madison Post 105 American Le gion, shows the District Membership award as he reads a letter com mending the post for their increased activity. This year, for the first time in ten years, the post reached quota. And it had been sixteen years since the post had reached quota by the first deadline of Novem ber 11. Commander Chakeres also won the Brown Jug award for re cruiting the most members in the new campaign. Incidentally, the Post was the first in the district to meet the Legion Hospital quota. Com mander Chakeres said he had been gratified with the cooperation he has received in his first year as commander of the group. He also ex tended an invitation to Korean Vets to join the organization.
