Sidney Reid Killed In Plane Crash In England:Word was received a couple of weeks ago of the death of Sidney Reid, of the R.C.A.F. overseas, when •his plane crashed in England.Sidney was a son of the late Mr. and Mrs. )Rober,t Reid, of Clarke Township and joined up with the R.C.A.tF. in July, 1942. In the fall of 1943 he received his wings and commission at Hagersville, and in November, 1943, proceeded overseas. The plane in which he was flying was over on a raid over enemy territory, but managed to get back to England, crashing in Norfolk County. It is not known as yet whether it was badly damaged on the 'raid or- not or just what happened.Sidney is survived by three brothers, Clarence, of Lakeview, W. A. and Leslie, of Clarke Township; and two sisters, (M'ary) IMrs1. M. C. Stewart, of Kelstein, Sask., and (Ada) Mrs. I. A. Caesar, of Langstaff.
