A real ring show has been ar ranged for Friday night at Little ton’s gymnasium with battlers from three states competing. Tootsie Brannan of Chickasaw has been talked into trying his luck against Freddie Padgett and indica tions point to a tough contest. Bran nan is very popular with local fans and Freddie, whom it will be re membered fought Grady Flynn to such a close bout, also gets a big hand for his aggressive comeback. Marty McDaniels is out to seek revenge against Frankie Schottgen, the boy who beat Frankie McDaniels at the last fight. Marty is a willing lad and should make it interesting for Schottgen as he is always press ing his man. Larry Cowart, the Mississippi boy that lost to Mac Crow, will be seen against Frankie McDaniels, who lost to Frankie Schottgen last time out. The two boys are out to redeem themselves in order to secure an other match against their conquerors, Crow and Schottgen respectively. Cowart, the Moss Point lad, is known as a real fighter, who can take it and give it, as he proved in a re cent bout with Crow. George Clausen, the southeastern champion, will perform before the home town folks when he takes on Al Bellanca, from the Kingsley House, in New Orleans. Clausen has not performed before the people since sporting his laurel won at At lanta. Al Bellanca is highly touted in Mississippi and the folks should see a real fight when these two boys pair off, Bellanca, has beaten some of the best boys New Orleans turned out. Holding knockouts over the southern champions, and national runners-up, Leo Bowen and Harold Cooper. Six preliminaries will support the all-star show when the youngsters from the classes step through the ropes and give battle for the class honors. Gene Malone will be timekeeper and Herb McAfee will be the third man in the ring. *
