Mrs. Sadie Bailey entertained Mrs. Erkenbright of North Sa lem, Mrs. Wm. Morris and Mrs. D. I. E. Oldshue and Miss Viv ian of Waveland visited several days last week with Mr. and Mrs. J. E. Hancock. Mr. and Mrs. Floyd Miles and daughter, Dayne, of Newport visited the former’s mother, Mrs. Fannie Miles, Sunday. John L. Scott and son, Oran, of Scottland, Ill. visited the Mc Namee family Sunday. The guests were: Pearl Cox and family, Perry Jared and family, Claude Pitman and family and Mr. and Mrs. Ben. Pitman. Mr. Eagle Yaryan together with his friend, Mr. Henry E. Randall, drove in from Florence, Kansas last week and visited several days with the former’s uncle, Mr. Albert Miles and wife. Mr. Yaryan formerly resided here. The young gentlemen made the trip in 388 hours and had two upsets and two tire punctures on the way.
