(Globe-Header, Payson, Utah.)There has been so many rumors about the Dream mine, situated east of here, thatB.1 P. Woodward of Spanish Fork, who was superintendent of the mine for sixteen years, has the following to say about it:“Bishop John H. Koyle of Leland ward, eighteen years ago dreamed three times insuccession of a mine east of Salem, Utah. The last dream so impressed him that he took Joseph Brockbank (as he saw in his dream) with him and together they went in search of the spot. They soon located the place on the north side of Water canyon, In December, of that year, a companywas organized with six members: John H,Koyle, Albert H. Koyle, Howell Davis, B. F. Woodward, Samuel Brockbank and JosephBrockbank.“Later others joined the company and as Bishop Koyle had seen that no one need get involved to work the mine, it was wforked only in winter for fifteen years.“It was then incorporated and from fifteen to thirty men have been kept at work. The company is now hoisting by windlass 830 feet and by gasoline power 250 feet”Mr. Woodward lias been absent from themine for six months and was very muchsurprised, on his return the other day, to find manganese between the walls of theworkings.Superintendent Lars Olsen is in charge■of the works and twenty men are employed, all working for stock at $1.50 per share. On February 10, at a directors’ meetingit was decided that in the future they wouldinstall machinery and drive a tunnel from the base of the mountain to tap the bottomof the workings which would make it easierto push the work rapidly.
