Hamilton Garden Club The slate of officers for the coming year was presented at the meeting of Hamilton Garden Club at the home of Mrs. George Flenner. Officers as presented by Mrs. Theodore Ellis are: Miss Adeline Zoller, president; Mrs. Jay Antenen, vice president; Mrs. Spencer August, recording secretary; Mrs. N. H. Detmer, treasurer; Mrs. F. Wade Hoffman, a corresponding secretary; Mrs. John A. Stewart, program chairman, assisted by Mrs. Flenner, Mrs. Robert Briede, Mrs. Lester Koehler and Mrs. Louis Beimford. Mrs. Antenen introduced the speaker, Mrs. Wayne Wilson, whose topic was “Perennials with Emphasis on Rock Garden Plants.” The guest meeting was announced for March 26 at 6:30 p.m. at the Park Avenue United Methodist Church with Don Ashbrook featuring and demon strating the potters wheel. Reservations may be made with Mrs. Antenen. It was announced that the Barden club banks have been presented to Lane Library. A memorial tree has been planted in Miami Woods for Mrs. Mary Andrews. Hamilton Branch of the American Association of University Women will meet at 7:45 p. m. Thursday at Carriage Hill clubroom. The program will be yoga in struction. Members are asked to note the change in meeting place. Moose Women Hamilton Chapter 28. Women of the Moose, is serving a salisbury steak dinner Sunday at the Moose Lodge, S. Second St., from noon 10 6 p.m. Regular chapter meeting will be Tuesday, March 20, at p.m. in the fellowship room at the lodge, Pisgah Park .The Pisgah Park Garden Club is sponsoring a style show and ecard party at 7:30 pp. m., Friday, April 6, at Elder-Beerman Community Room. Proceeds will be used to further the club's civic beautification projects in the community, such as landscaping and main tenance of the Pisgah Firehouse and Hopewell Elementary School. The most recent contribution is the planting of two Cot tonwood trees at the PYO Grounds. Mrs. Robert Wasson, chairman, and her com mittee which includes Mrs. Chester Bowles, Mrs. Lynn Bowles, Mrs. Paul Haddix, Mrs. Bill Moore, Mrs. William Kuhn and Mrs. Richard Staathoff, reported at the club’s regular Meeting. Dessert and coffee will be served. Men as well as women are invited to attend and tickets may be obtained from club mem bers or by contacting Mrs. Wasson at 777-3852. Sue Lily, fashion co ordinator for LElder- Beerman, will present models in a wide range of clothes for the spring wardrobe. Association of Widowed The newly formed Community Association of the Widowed will hold its third meeting ,at p. m. Monday, March 19, at the WCA, Third and Dayton Sts. Elizabeth Armstrong of the social security office will speak. Interested persons are welcome to attend or lo call 893-8282 for further in formation.
