At the eighth annual Presen tation Ball 37 young Southern California women will be pre sented to His Eminence, James Francis Cardinal McIntyre, Archbishop of Los Angeles. This beautiful Presentation Ball spon sored by the Social Service Aux iliary of Los Angeles will be held on Easter Monday, April 19, in the International Ballroom of the Beverly Hilton Hotel. The presentation ceremony will begin with the entrance of Cardinal McIntyre accompanied by the Papal Knights in full dress wearing the insignia of their orders. The Papal Knights will form an honor guard for His Eminence. The Papal Knights invited to participate are: Sir Daniel J. Donohue; Messrs. Fritz B. Burns, Henry L. Clark, Jerome K. Doolan, Charles L. Dunn, Edward Timothy Foley, George B. Gilson, Richard A. Grant, William A. Harrington, Fred B. Huesman, Irvin Kaiser, Thom as E. Leavey, Felix S. McGin nis, Jr., George Dominic Mc Grath, Lawrence G. McNeil, Cy ril C. Nigg, John B. Raven, Ed mund F. Schnieders, Charles Von der Ahe, Theodore A. Von de Ahe, and Olin Wellborn III. The master of ceremonies will be Francis J. Kanne, Jr. Chairman of the men’s floor committee will be Charles F. Bergesch II, and serving with him are Judge Thomas C. Yag er, Dr. J. Lafe Ludwig, Messrs. Charles Quinn Brady, Joseph E. Connelly, William A. Cruikshank Jr., Henry I. Dockweiler, Charles R. Dunne, William Edin burgh,Jr., Henry Lawton Jen sen, Francis ©. McGarry, George F. Montgomery, Sigurd E. Murphy, and Anselmo L, Paz- 20. William Stanley Cahill will direct the Presentation ceremo ny, and Ivan Scott will conduct the orchestra for the event. Coordinating the ball under the ‘direction of Miss Eileen Kelcher Jeffers, president of the Social Service Auxiliary, is Mrs. Ansel mo L. Pozzo, ball chairman, and Mrs. William Rowland Moore, presentee chairman. The pro ceeds from this Presentation Ball will benefit the Cardinal's Charity Fund and the work of ‘the Sisters of Social Service. Among the merry round of ‘parties honoring the Presentees was the formal dinner dance last night, given by Mrs. Fred Weber of Gaviota honoring her daughter Marybeth Weber and her niece Katrina Weber. The beautiful party was in the Grand Trainon Ballroom of the ‘Beverly Wilshire Hotel. PRESENTEE — Miss Helen Brittingham Lippi, daugh ter of Mr. and Mrs. Richard Martin Lippi of 1200 Crest view Dr., Fullerton, will be presented to His Eminence James Francis Cardinal Mc Intyre at the Presentation Ball sponsored by the So cial Service Auxiliary of Los Angeles on Monday, April 19. On St. Patrick’s Day, Wednes day, March 17, Mrs. Donald Shanahan will honor Miss Mary Antoinette Barsocchini at a tea at her home. A second tea sched uled in this busy season will be the tea jointly hosted by Mines, John Porteous, Karl Foreman Weber, Nicholas Noyes Weber and John Richard Novak hon oring Miss Katrina Weber and Miss Marybeth Weber. Thurs day afternoon, March 25. On Saturday afternoon, March 27, Mrs. Charles Gooding of Corona del Mar and Mrs. Harold Caballero will honor their granddaughter and niece Miss Penelope Ruth Williams of Go leta at a tea at Mrs. Cabal lero’s Brentwood home. For Saturday noon, April 10, Mrs. Charles E. Kern of Toluca Lake has issued invitations for a luncheon at the Lakeside Coun try Club to honor her daughter Natalie. Again the two popular Weber cousins will be co-honor ed when Mrs. Karl Weber of Rancho Santa Fe hosts a brunch on April 19 prior to the ball re hearsal in the Empire Room of the Beverly Hiton Hotel to honor her daughter Katrina and her niece Marybeth.
