Clearing skies, a smiling sun and assurances from the weather man that the coming Spring Dol lar Day of March 19 will be one of those balmy goodwill days brought added enthusiasm today to the Dollar Day Committee. A telephone survey of all Corona business houses,which was start ed Saturday and was to be com pleted today, gives every indica tion that Corona’s business men are practically 100 per cent behind Saturday's trade event. Showers which yesterday morn ing kept weekend travelers in doors cleared in the afternoon and folks who stayed in Corona declar ed there was more travel through the Circle City than in many th o DOL. r pH BANNERS QUITE EVIDENT The police department laughing ly remarked this morning that no one who passed through the busi ness section yesterday could have missed knowing there would be a Dollar Day in Corona on Saturday, March 19. One of the new pen nants which is suspended by new hemp rope over a 100-foot span be tween telephone poles dipped al most to eye level in the center of Sixth street. Many requests have been receiv ed by the secretary of the Busi ness Men's Association for small paper pennants and Dollar Day price tags. These pennants and tags are being distributed through the cooperation of the Corona Daily Independent. Merchants have been instructed to contact Walter Blair.
