Hurry Allen Buried Sunday.The body of Harry Allen was brought from the County Farm Monday forenoon and interred in Grandview cemetery. Some years ago he was obliged to go to that place provided in our county for those whose unfortunate situation calls for the aid of “their fellowmen. His inability to do much for himself in life was due in a great degree to a congenital malformation of the feet. It is possible that a surgical operation, which was once undertaken for the purpose or straightening these members, might have been entirely successful,-but material pity aroused by his suffering caused the removal of some unavoidably painful appliances at a critical time, and the operation proved fruitless, Notwithstanding conditions which might readily have rendered him bitter, morose and sullen he was genial and kindhearted, and many estimable Qualities were manifest in hischaracter to all who knew him. He *had from a child taste and ability for music. He was a performer at times in orchestras and played the violin in the choir of the Congregational church some twenty years ago. He became a member of this church in 1895, during the pastorate of Rev. Snowden.At the conclusion of the Bermon and the regular services last Sunday morning the pastor. Rev. D. M. Parker, spoke a few words of characterization and memorial.Deceased was the son of Harrison Alien who with hia wife became residents of Fayette in 1870. Harry was born Jan. 2, 1872.His virtues and excellencies will cause him to be remembered kindly in his native town; while it is not charity but simple justice to reflect vthat his frailities and imperfections were due to temptations to which lie was especially subject by his crippled and forlorn condition.
