vlsson, Dllworth, Harrison an;l others.Music.Benediction.Of the twenty-six boys who took part in the ceremonies described above fifteen of them are known to have participated in the great Civil ■war which burst upon the country a few years afterwards.They were of course divided in their allegiance, and some of them Tought in the same battles though on opposite sides.So far as is known none of them Were killed nor dangerously injured.These exercises wore always held in the little Methodist Episcopal church that stood on the brow of the hill a short distance east of the academy building, overlooking Cain street.The G. D. Camden, Jr.. whose name appears above, was the son of the Judge of that name who long presided over the circuit court.David Hewes whose father was . colonel in the Union army is now living in Charleston.Jack Criss who after the war settled in Baltimore, and afterwards moved to Texas, and died there. His father, Aaron Criss, was long a successful merchant in Clarksburg.. Watts Werninger lived for some years In Baltimore and died in or near there.Wirt Haymond. son of Luther, died .at the early age of eighteen after giv-ali the positions he occupied he filled them In a capable and satisfactory manner.
