F. Woodrow, of Logio county, was -day awarded the Rhodes scholarship* entitling him to a three years courae in Oxford university, England. The other eontCMtant* were W. S. Hamilton. of Brandenburg, representing the Stato college, G. W. Campbell, of Lexington, representing Kentucky university, and Winchester Stuart, of Owensboro, representing Central university.Mr. Woodrow was graduated from Mooney Training school, Murfreesboro, Tenn., and later from Vender, bilt university, Nashville. The scholarship entitles him to three years at Oxford without the payment of any fees, and, in addition to this-an annuity of 11,500. He expects to devote the three years to the law course.Mr. Woodrow will go to Loudon in October. He succeed# Clark Tandy as holder of the scholarship.
