GOUVERNEUR. March 12. Peritonitis, resulting from a eell inflicted sunshot wound in the ab domen, caused the death at 5:30 Saturday morning of Miss Cecil Evelyn Bouzhner, 27, Edith street, this vilage, who died in the Van Duzee hospital where she had been confined Sunday night March 4. Coroner F. BD. Allen of Ricaville remiered the finding of death from peritonitis Saturday morning. No autopsy or inquest has been held. The case was one one of “appar ently attempted suicide,” according to Dr. Allen, who said that the Bougzhner girl had been metlanehoh of late. Information obtained by the coroner indicated that the girl was alone in her home at the time of the shooting which was about 7.38 Sunday Mar. 4. She was found by Carl Grappette, Rock Island street, who called at the Bouchner home, according to the coroner, Dr. F. D. Drury was summoned and the girl was removed to the hospital. News of the shooting was at first sup pressed by the family. Miss Boughner was born Aug. 1, 1906, at Sedalia, Mo., a daughter of the late Albert FE. and Mary Mc Call Boughner. She has lived in this vicinity six years. Survivors include her brother, Albert E. Boughner, and two sis ters, Miss Beulah and Mrs. Rafuaz Keiser of this village. Her father died a year ago in Gouverneur. Funeral services were held from Trinity Episcopal church at 10.30 this morning: burial in Riverside cemetery.
