JThe anniral high school opera was presented last Friday night at the Gem Theatre, under the direction of Wesley Baker, high school music instructor, assisted by Miss*or us Balm of the puibhc spealc-ig department.' j * The Belle of Bagdad proved to be very good entertainment, and1 those in charge deserve a T great deal of credit for the very hie manner in whidh* the leading characters* had been coached1, the excellent training shown by the chorus of eighty voices, the attractive scenery and the colorful costumes.A large crowd attendedunanimous opin-wasjthe best production oat its kind ever to be presented in Montpelier.The .principal parts were taken by Virginia Sarfbaeh, Janette Parker, Lola King, Verona Williams, pan or Bissegger, Dosi Wright, HazeJl Dunn, Anita Sarbach, Glenn Goughian, Donald Crockett, Weston Wright, Andy , Jensen, JohnSchick and Zera Nelson.
