Five Oakdale 's Men to Make Trip; Bogue Set for Comeback, national boxing tournament. Mobile sends one former champ, who this year is trying for a come back. He is Frankie Bogue, feather weight of the south in 1922. Frankie had little trouble in eliminat ing his foe in the Southern A... C. shows held in Littleton’s gym recent ly and looks good enough to repeat, according to Tommy Littleton, team styles itself, is made up of five men who have been going through their paces consistently the last sev eral weeks at the Oakdale gym. John J. McGuire, coach of the Oak dale team, and Roy Sherman, direc tor of the club, have been grooming the beachcombers for the past ten weeks. McGuire will accompany the Mobilians to Atlanta as coach. Those who will be on hand at the weighing in ceremonies Friday morn ing at Atlanta are: Ed Scherman, flyweight; Russell Tucker, bantam; Frankie Bogue, featherweight; Emmett Cooper, lightweight; Tootsie Brannan, welterweight; Roy Scher man, middleweight, and Charlie Wil lamson, light-heavy. Bogue and Brannan are men who have been groomed by Littleton for the tournament.
