Ozark Ripley Will Speak at Annual Affair on Fri day, March 21st. Chautauqua Chapter No. 1, Tanak Walton League of American, will hold its annual election of of ficers in its rooms, Jamestown conservatory of Mustc Hall, Wet man Building, at 88 o'clock this evening. After the meeting, mo tive pictures will be shown, and a fine lunch served. The annual banquet of Chautau qua Chapter No. 1, Izaak Walton League of America, will be held Friday, March 21st. At the Hotel Samuels at 6:15 o'clock, Ozark Ripley, former guide for Jack London and Emerson Hough, will be the principal speaker. Mr. Rip levy is one of the world’s outstand ing sportsmen and is one of the best hunters with bird dogs in the world today In addition to being a wonderful fisher and hunter. He has written more than a dozen volumes on hunting and fishing. After a five year fight to get Cumberland Falls free from hydro electric exploitation, the Kentucky Legislature Tuesday accepted an offer of former United States Sen ator T. Coleman DuPont of Dela ware, who will donate $230,000 to save the Falls, and 2,200 acres for a state park. Mr. DuPont is a na tive born Kentuckian. Cumberland Falls is the largest cataract east of the Mississippi River, except Ni agara Falls. The fight to save the Falls was carried on by the Izaak Walton League of America assist ed by Mr. DuPont, and the Louis ville Courier Journal. This fight saves the greatest falls east of the Mississippi except Niagara Falla, and gives to the people of the Unit ed States a public park with the most wonderful falls outside of Ni agara.
