Death of Sir. Joseph Jatiwlri.Mr, Joseph5 Jadwin died snddonlj last Wednesday evening. He was born in New York city in 1802, and was therefore 87 years of age.^In 1814 his parents removed to Canterbury, Orange Co., N. Y., wh*re he was married to Miss Bachel Hoag, Nine children were born to them,here, four of whom are* still living, I^rs._Ira Osborn of Athens, Pa., Mr, Geo. Jadwin, Mrs. Geo. Sortore and Mrs. Hanford Sortore of Belmont, In 1843, he removed to Elmira, where he 'resided until 1864, Here his wife; die^and: he married Mrs, E. J. Weeks, who died in 1885. In 1864, Mr. Jadwin came to Belmont, where he has since resided. He united with the church in 1836, and has ever since led a consistent Christian life. He was an eider of the Presbyterian church in this place. He was highly respected by all the community, and his loss will be felt in the dxurcb, family and village.
