HENRIETTA. Feb. 11, 1883. Mr. Davis has recently returned from Michigan, and works the Wellman farm this winter. Last Wednesday evening evening there was a leap year party at the resi dence of Mr. M. Sherman, in which the ladies became a pattern of good works to the “lords of creation,’ taking them selves the place of escort, and footing the bills of the occasion. A good at tendance and pleasant time. W. A. Thomas, having rented his farm for three years, goes to Oberlin, April, 1st. A pleasant surprise was indulged in by a goodly number of big friends at his residence here, who pre sented Mrs. Thomas with a very fine hanging lamp, as 3 memento of past service and associations, and as a token of the esteem in which she was held. .
