Emetrio G. Torres Succumbs FridayLAMESA — Emetrio G. Torres, 75, died at 4 a.m. Friday in Medical Arts Hospital here.Services were conducted at 2 p.m. Saturday at St. Margaret Mary’s Catholic Church here, Rev. Jerome Vitek officiating. Burial followed in the Lamesa Cemetery under the direction of Branon Funeral Home.Survivors included his wife, Mrs. Josefa Torres; three sons, Joe Torres and Jesse Torres, both of Lubbock, and Ventura Torres, Lamesa; two sisters, Mrs. Paule Garcia, San Marcos, and Miss Collinda Torres, Seguin; two brothers, Anselmo Torres, Lamesa, and Mrs. Frank Torres, Seguin; 14 grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
